各学院、学生各班：
为贯彻《教育部关于全面提高高等教育质量的若干意见》，继续深化大学英语课程教学改革，展示和进一步提高大学生英语写作表达能力，激发大学生学习英语的积极性，提高人才培养质量，特举办“2016年‘外研社杯’全国英语写作大赛”浙江财经大学初赛。现将具体事项通知如下：
一、组织机构
主办单位：浙江财经大学大学生竞赛委员会
承办单位：外国语学院
二、参赛对象
参赛对象：我校全日制本科学生
备注：比赛不收取任何费用
三、竞赛安排
1.上报候选人：各学院组织发动学生报名，建议大学英语四级550分以上;或六级520分以上；或高考英语成绩135分以上（大一 ）的同学参赛。
报名办法：在“外研社杯”全国英语写作大赛官网（uchallenge.unipus.cn）注册Unipus，并登陆（之前已拥有www.unipus.cn旗下任意平台账户的同学可直接用该账户登录），进入“参赛报名”页面，点击“参加XX比赛”，进行网络报名。网上报名截止于2016年10月7日中午12:00。
2.初赛形式：现场写作，使用写作评阅系统进行操作。比赛不允许携带电子设备，不允许使用网络。
3.写作大赛初赛日起定于2016年10月15日，时间为上午9：00-11：00，考试地点为外国语学院8305，8306教室，考场具体信息将张贴在教室门口。参赛学生必须携带本人学生证或身份证参加考试。
4.评分方式：采用写作系统评阅和教师评阅相结合的方式。
四、奖项设置
1.此次初赛奖项设置将按照学校参赛人数取特等奖（复赛组委会规定人数）、一等奖（1%）、二等奖（3%）、三等奖（6%）发放，以大赛官网报名人数为基准。
2.对于获奖学生，竞赛主办单位将颁发获奖证书，并予以加分奖励（根据《关于2016年度学科竞赛项目立项申报通知》，该竞赛等级为国家级B类）。
五、竞赛类型及评分标准
类型一： 说明文写作（Expository Writing）
比赛内容：选手完成一篇说明文写作（300—500词）。侧重考查选手解说事物、阐明事理的能力，以及运用知识、观察理解、梳理分析、提炼总结、跨文化沟通的综合能力。
评分标准（总分10分）：
Expository Writing |
Content/Ideas(40%) |
1. Writing effectively addresses the topic and the task; 2. Writing presents a clear thesis; 3. Writing maintains a formal style and an objective tone. |
Organization/Development(30%) |
1. Writing is well-organized and well-developed, using appropriate development patterns (e.g., definition, illustration, casual analysis, process analysis, classification, comparison/contrast, etc.) to support the thesis or to illustrate ideas; 2. Writing displays coherence, progression, consistency and unity; 3. Textual elements are well-connected through explicit logical and/or linguistic transitions. |
Language(30%) |
1. Spelling is accurate; 2. Writing displays consistent facility in use of language; 3. Writing demonstrates appropriate register, syntactic variety, and effective use of vocabulary. |
类型二：应用文写作（Practical Writing）
比赛内容：选手完成一篇应用文写作（300—500词）。侧重考查选手使用得体的格式、内容和语言实现有效沟通、达到交际目的的能力。
评分标准（总分10分）：

类型三：议论文写作（Argumentative Writing）
比赛内容：选手完成一篇议论文写作（800词左右）。侧重考查选手的文献阅读理解、信息综合处理、判断分析、逻辑思辨、评价论述等能力，展示选手的知识广度、视野维度、思想深度等综合素质。
评分标准（总分10分）：

Language(30%) |
1. Spelling is accurate; 2. Writing displays consistent facility in use of language; 3.Writing demonstrates appropriate register, syntactic variety, and effective use of vocabulary. |
类型四：记叙文写作（Narrative Writing）
比赛内容：选手完成一篇记叙文写作（600—800 词）。侧重考查选手的阅读理解、语言运用、细节描写、形象思维、创意构思、人文素养等综合能力。
评分标准（总分10分）：
